The Per-Person Math Nobody Shows You
Charter prices look big until you divide them. The $1,150 Isla Mujeres day charter works out to $77 per person with 15 guests — about $96 each with 12, $115 with 10, and $144 with 8. For a full private yacht, a licensed captain and crew, six hours on the water, open drinks (24 waters, 24 sodas, 24 beers), and snorkel gear for everyone, that's less than most people spend on a night out in the Hotel Zone.
The Sunset Hours Charter at $900 drops the math to $60 per person for a full group — the cheapest way to have a private yacht in Cancún, and the light between 5pm and 7pm is the best of the day.
What's Included — and What's Not
Included In Every Cancún Charter
Not included: a marina fee of $180 MXN (roughly $10 USD) per group, paid directly at Marina Mundo Marino on the day of your charter — it's a dock fee charged by the marina, not by us. Also not included: gratuity for the crew (optional, 10–15% is customary) and any food or catering you'd like us to arrange.
What Actually Moves the Price
- Duration. Our standard Cancún charters are 6 hours. Shorter blocks don't save much — the marina slot, captain, and fuel to Isla Mujeres are largely fixed — which is why 6 hours is the sweet spot.
- Group size. The boat price is flat up to 15 guests, so a bigger group means a lower per-person cost, not a higher total.
- Season. December–April is high season and dates sell out weeks ahead; July–August is summer vacation season and weekends go fast. Our rates hold steady year-round, but availability doesn't — booking early matters more than hunting for a low-season discount.
- Extras. Jet skis ($100/ski/hour), drone photo & video, catering, or a private chef stack on top of the base price. The Signature Package bundles yacht + jet ski + drone media for $1,400 — cheaper than adding each separately.

Shared Isla Mujeres catamaran tours run $89–$129 per person — and you'll share the deck with 30–50 strangers, a fixed schedule, a queue for the slide, and someone else's playlist. At 8 or more guests, a private charter costs about the same per head ($144/person at 8, less as your group grows) and everything about the day is yours: the route, the anchor stops, the music, and how long you stay at Playa Norte.
