A Cancún bachelorette party on a private yacht is one of those experiences that stops being a trip and starts being a story people tell for years. The combination of Caribbean water, an exclusive boat, your closest friends, and a captain who knows exactly where to anchor — it's a formula that works every single time.
We've hosted hundreds of bachelorette charters. This guide distills everything we've learned about what makes them work — and what to avoid.
Why a Yacht is the Best Cancún Bachelorette Experience
Cancún has no shortage of bachelorette options — rooftop clubs, beach clubs, cenote tours, jungle ATV rides. But the yacht charter has two qualities none of the others can match: privacy and exclusivity.
On a private charter, the whole world shrinks to your boat and your group. There's no DJ you didn't choose, no table minimum, no strangers at the next table watching your photos. Just your crew, your music, 360 degrees of turquoise Caribbean, and a captain who's been doing this for a decade and knows exactly how to make a day special.
What the bride actually wants: In our experience, the most memorable bachelorette charters are the ones where the MOH thinks ahead. Tell us the bride's name before the trip — we'll have it on the boat. Tell us her favorite song — the captain can play it when you board. Tell us her color — we'll arrange the decorations. Details cost nothing and are remembered forever.
What to Include in a Bachelorette Yacht Charter
The base charter — 6 hours, Sea Ray Sundancer, up to 15 guests, drinks and snorkeling included — is the foundation. Here's how the best bachelorette groups build on it:
The Perfect Bachelorette Yacht Day: Hour by Hour
Hotel pickup (with transfer add-on)
Private van collects the group from your hotel. No Ubers, no coordination chaos.
Board at Puerto Juárez Marina
Champagne waiting, decorations up, your captain introduces himself. First group photo on the swim platform.
Depart for Isla Mujeres
35–40 minute crossing. Music on, sun pads deployed, drinks poured. This is where the day starts feeling real.
Reef snorkel stop
Captain anchors at the reef. Those who want to snorkel go in. Those who want to sun on the bow sun pad stay up top. Nobody has to do anything.
Anchor at Playa Norte
The turquoise water stop. Swim platform down, music up. If catering is booked, lunch is served on the water. This is the peak content moment — drone footage here is extraordinary.
Optional: Go ashore on the island
Walk the main street, visit Playa Norte beach clubs, or explore by golf cart. Return to the boat when you're ready.
Return crossing
The late afternoon light on the Caribbean is worth staying on deck for. Best golden-hour photos of the trip.
Return to marina
Transfer drops you back at the hotel, or you head into the Hotel Zone for dinner. The evening is yours.
How to Book: What to Tell Us
When you submit your booking request, the more information you give us the better. Here's exactly what to include in the special requests field:
- The bride's name — we'll use it in the decoration and the captain's welcome
- Color scheme / theme — tropical, black and gold, pink, disco, etc.
- Group size and age range — helps us calibrate the music and pace
- Any dietary restrictions — important if you're adding catering
- The vibe you're going for — wild party, relaxed luxury, somewhere in between
- Any surprise elements — if it's a surprise for the bride, tell us and we'll play along
Cost Breakdown: What a Group of 10 Pays
Let's model a realistic fully-loaded bachelorette charter for 10 guests:
- Base charter (6hrs, 10 guests) — $1,150
- Decoration package — $120
- Welcome champagne — $60
- Open bar upgrade (10 guests × $25) — $250
- Drone + GoPro content — $150
- Hotel transfer (10 guests × $50) — $500
- Total — $2,230 · $223 per person
For context: a decent table at a Cancún beach club runs $150–200 per person minimum spend, plus drinks, plus a shared experience with 200 strangers. For $70 more per person you get a private yacht, exclusive Caribbean access, a crew, and content you'll actually use.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book for a bachelorette?
December through March — book 3–4 weeks in advance. Weekends during this window fill the fastest. April through November: 1–2 weeks is usually sufficient, but the content package (drone) books out earlier because we have fewer drone operators.
What if someone in the group gets seasick?
The crossing to Isla Mujeres is generally gentle, but if someone is prone to motion sickness, recommend they take medication the night before and morning of. The captain can also adjust the routing to minimize chop. Once anchored, there's no movement at all.
Can we bring a cake on board?
Absolutely. Just coordinate with us in advance so the captain can store it properly (there's a full fridge below deck). We can also arrange for a local bakery to deliver a custom cake to the marina — just let us know.
Is tipping expected?
Tipping is not included in the charter price and is entirely at your discretion. The captain and crew work hard to make the day exceptional. $50–100 total for the crew, split at your discretion, is the typical range for satisfied groups.
